Remove and Install the Control Pod Printed Circuit Board Fan Assembly for Frames 8...15

Replace the control pod printed circuit board fan assembly with kit catalog number SK-RMPODFAN1-F8. Follow these steps to remove and install the control-pod printed circuit board fan assembly.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Open the enclosure door.
  5. Disconnect the two fan power supply connectors from connectors J18 and J25 on the fiber-optic interface board.
  6. Remove the wire harness from the cable supports on the side of the pod chassis.

    TIP: The control pod is shown separated from the enclosure to clarify the instructions only.
  7. Loosen the two captive thumbscrews on the fan assembly and pull the assembly out and off the pod chassis.

  8. Install the control pod printed circuit board fan assembly in the reverse order of removal.
