Remove and Install the Power Interface Circuit Board for Frame 7

Replace the power interface circuit board with the kit catalog number for your power module rating that is identified in this table:

IMPORTANT: The power interface circuit board contains data regarding the power modules predictive maintenance runtime history. Replacing the power interface circuit board erases this data and is not recommended if predictive maintenance data is required for your application.
Follow these steps to remove and install the power interface circuit board.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Open the enclosure door.
  4. Remove the protective guard. See Remove and Install the Protective Guard for Frame 7.
  5. Remove the power module from the enclosure. See Remove and Install a Power Module for Frame 7.
  6. Remove the power layer interface circuit board from the power module. See Remove and Install the Power Interface Circuit Board for Frame 7.
  7. Disconnect these cable connectors from the power interface circuit board:
    • P3 from J3
    • P4 from J4
    • P7 from J7
    • P8 from J8
    • P9 from J9
    • P10 from J10
    • P11 from J11

  9. Remove the seven M4 x 18 mm Torx screws that secure the power interface circuit board to the EMI shield and remove the board.

  10. Install the power interface circuit board in the reverse order of removal.
    IMPORTANT: Do not remove the protective covers from connectors J5 and J6 on the power interface circuit board.
