FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
 Manager
 might require the installation of the Tools on your local computer to provide specific features.
Access the
FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
 Manager
 and select
Tools
Download
 to download all the Tools.

Tools can be installed on the following operating systems:
  • Windows 10 x64
  • Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022
Once installed, the Tools are ready for use.
NOTE: Whenever you access a Tool that requires update, a message window will appear, asking you whether you want to proceed with downloading its updated version.

After installation

Once you have installed the Tools on your device, you can access them as described in their related section FactoryTalk Remote Access Manager Tools, or directly by clicking their icons, if you are familiar with their use:
  • Device discovery
    : This icon triggers the device discovery for
    OptixEdge™
    ,
    OptixPanel™
     featuring a firmware version 4.0.4 or newer
    ,
    Stratix® 4300
     featuring a firmware version newer than 4.0.2 and Embedded Edge Compute Module featuring a firmware version 4.0.4 or newer.
     Alternatively, you can refer to Device Setup to discover a device through
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     Manager
    .
  • Local Connection
    : This icon allows to establish the Local Connection connection mode. See Local connection if you want to establish this connection mode through
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     Manager
    .
