Device setup
Tool allows you to discover and configure devices on a local network.
NOTE:
In certain scenarios, the utilization of this Tool may be necessitated for the device registration to a domain. Furthermore, its behavior might differ depending on the device type and firmware version.

- On theDevice setupdialog window, select the first option:Stratix 4300 featuring a firmware version older than or equal to 4.0.2.NOTE: A pop-up message may appear asking for permission to open the Tool. Before confirming, you can checkAlways allowto prevent this message from prompting again during this session. If you use a different computer or a different browser, this message will prompt again.
- In the dialog window, enter theAdminuser's password.NOTE: These credentials are the same that you use to access the device System Manager, and the default password for an admin user isadmin. To learn more about System Manager and to know the IP address that is used to access your device System Manager, download this user manual: Stratix 4300 routerA new dialog window appears. It displays the MAC addresses of the routers in your local network that have a password matching the one specified.
- Select a router MAC address from the list and clickConfigureto set the LAN IP address. Then you can access the device System Manager to set up other parameters.

- A discovery window appears. SelectDiscoverto list all the devices on the local network that are in anUnconfiguredstate (factory default setting) or that were already configured.TheDiscovered deviceslist displays theModel,Serial number,Eth2:WAN IP address,Eth1:LAN IP addressandStatusof each device.
- If you select the row of a device in anUnconfiguredstate, you can then open System Manager by selectingDevice setupor set the IP address of a LAN interface, and restart.NOTE: To learn more about System Manager and to know the IP address that is used to access your device System Manager, download this user manual: Stratix 4300 routerIf you select the row of a device in aConfiguredstate, you can open System Manager by selectingDevice setup.
