Remove and Install the Power Module Gate Driver Circuit Board for Frames 8...15

Replace the gate driver circuit board with the appropriate kit catalog number based on the installed power module that is identified in this table:

Follow these steps to remove and install the gate driver circuit board from a power module.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Open the corresponding enclosure door.
  4. Remove the power module from the enclosure.
  5. Remove the circuit board tray from the power module.
  6. Remove the current sensors from the power module.
  7. Disconnect the ribbon cable (A) connector P1 from J1 on the gate driver circuit board. Retain the ribbon cable for reuse.
  8. Remove the 21 M4 x 10 mm Torx screws that secure the gate driver circuit board to the IGBT and remove board. Retain the screws for reuse.

  9. NOTE: Some power module components are not shown for clarity only.
  10. Install the gate driver circuit board in the reverse order of removal.
