Remove and Install the Power Module Circuit Board Tray for Frames 8...15

You must remove the circuit board tray from the power module to access the power layer interface and power interface circuit boards. Two versions of the circuit board tray are released. Follow these steps to remove and install the circuit board tray.
  1. Review the product advisories in Before You Begin.
  2. Remove power from the system.
  3. Open the corresponding enclosure door.
  4. Remove the power module from the enclosure.
  5. Remove the three M6 x 16 mm Torx screws that secure the left-side cover to the power module chassis and remove the cover.

  6. Disconnect the wire harness connector P13 from connector J13 on the power layer interface circuit board.

  7. Disconnect these wire harness connectors from the power interface circuit board:
    • P3 from J3
    • P4 from J4
    • P7 from J7
    • P8 from J8
    • P9 from J9
    • P10 from J10
    • P11 from J11
    • If a thermal switch is used, P12 from J12

  9. Remove all cables ties from the cable mounts on the front of the circuit board tray.
  10. Remove the three M5 x 12 mm slotted-Torx screws that secure the circuit board tray to the power module chassis and, remove the tray by rotating the left side away from the chassis and by sliding the tabs on the right side of the tray out of the mounting slots.

  11. Install the circuit board tray in the reverse order of removal.
