Add a user identity

Authenticate your
FactoryTalk Optix
 user identity to your version control solution. You must add user authentication to push to remote repositories and pull from remote repositories.
Prerequisites
  • Obtain the URL of the version control server.
  • Generate the least permissive access token that allows you to access the version control server API, read from repositories, and write to repositories.
  1. To add a user identity
  2. Select
    FactoryTalk Optix Studio Options
    .
  3. Select
    Version control
    .
  4. Select either:
    • An on-premise provider. Enter the server URL and personal access token, and then select
      Add identity
      .
    • A cloud provider. Select
      Add identity
       and follow instructions in your web browser.
Your version control provider identity appears under
Provider identity login
. You can now push saved and committed changes to remote repositories and pull from remote repositories.
