Welcome

The Welcome screen in
FactoryTalk Design Studio
 is the first screen that you see when you launch the software. It provides quick access to various features and functions of the software. Here are some of the key features of the Welcome screen.
  • Open project
    . Open a project that you have previously created and saved in
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
    .
  • New project
    . Create a project from scratch.
  • Recent Projects
    . List of projects that you recently opened or worked on. Select a project from the list to access the project quickly.
  • Help
    . Opens the
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
     online help. The
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
     online help provides help topics to assist you in learning about the features and capabilities in
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
    .
  • Getting started
    . Accessed from the Help icon Help on the top right of the application, the
    Getting started
     page provides a brief description and links to information about the features that you should use to get started in
    FactoryTalk Design Studio
    . The
    Getting started
     page gives an overview of designing your system, reusing content, collaborating with other users through version control, and getting your system ready for production using the FactoryTalk Vault.
