Modern Machine Design: Driving efficiency through contemporary practices

The competitive landscape for machine and equipment builders is at an all-time high. This session will explore Rockwell Automation’s Software Defined Automation technologies that aim to deliver accelerated machine design through modern, simplified tools and practices. It will also highlight what’s new and next in the Logix control platform to leverage disruptive disciplines, broad portability, modern lifecycle management practices along with differentiated methods to help ensure machine and equipment is enterprise ready.

  • Dan DeYoung, VP/GM, Design and Control will lead this “super session” that will lay the foundation of Modern Design and introduce subject matter experts who will dive deeper into aspects of these practices, highlighting products and solutions like Software Defined Automation, Emulate3D, FactoryTalk Design Studio, Logix and DataReady. See how these practices help save time, money and engineering resources throughout the machinery and equipment lifecycle.
  • Dan will be joined by Julie Robinson, Business Director Design Software, Sherman Joshua, Business Director Control & Networks and John Pritchard, Business Manager Emulate3D. Once we’ve whetted your appetite, you’ll be able to explore in more detail what you’ve seen through the Automation Fair Expo booth tours that follow this Summit.
2:50pm – 3:30pm Data as a Differentiator
  • With the right tools, data in your machine/equipment is transformed into additional value. Listen to one OEM’s journey to harness its machine’s data. It will describe the strategy, the path they took and the technology they adopted to provide what their customers are seeking: more value from their machines.
