Connection between
FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
 Manager
 and remote devices

The connection logic between the
FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
 Manager
 and a remote device occurs as described below:
  • The
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     Manager
     connects to the Server Infrastructure and obtains a list of the devices registered to the user's domain.

    NOTE: The user owns the access permissions for the aforementioned devices. See Domain user permissions for further information on this subject.
  • When you connect the remote device to the Server Infrastructure, the
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     Manager
     receives a notification about this connection.

  • You can establish a VPN connection trough
    FactoryTalk® Remote Access™
     Manager
     and access the
    Remote desktop
     service.
