Recipe editor does not handle some special characters in recipe names [4179606]
Recipe editor incorrectly handles some characters in recipe names, such as "%", which may
lead to data loss. For example, saving a recipe named "recipe%" may delete other recipes. To
avoid this issue, do not use characters that SQL "Like" clause treats as wildcards in recipe
names.

Unable to add drawings to a Keyboard from the toolbar in FactoryTalk Optix Studio web
editor [4099110]
Icons on the toolbar to add drawings such as rectangle, ellipse, line, and polyline to a
Keyboard do not work in FactoryTalk Optix Studio web editor. To add a drawing to a Keyboard in
Project view
, right-click the screen and then select New > Drawings
and select
the type of drawing. The icons to draw shapes in a Keyboard work in FactoryTalk Optix Studio

Alarm messages for alarms that are defined into objects do not translate when switching
locales [4126439]
When defining a custom object (Type) that includes alarm definitions, instances of that type
inherit the alarms, but the alarm messages do not translate when switching locales in the
session.
To ensure that translations work correctly, add alarm definitions manually before turning the
object into a type.

LINT data type values round up [3643907]
Values for LINT data type round up when value has more than 17 digits. For example, the value
92,233,720,368,547,758 is rounded up to 92,233,720,368,547,760.

Unable to validate user [4152168]
This occurs when a project is downloaded to Runtime Tools on Ubuntu version 24.04.
FactoryTalk Optix Studio does not support Ubunto 24.04.

OptixPanel crashes after playing MP4 video [4120517]
To resolve this issue, update the OptixPanel to the latest image. This issue is resolved for
the following operating systems versions:
- OptixPanel Standard: 6.0.1.165
- OptixPanel Compact: 6.0.1.209

PDF current page changes when the zoom level changes [4048230]
On the FactoryTalk Optix web client, changing the zoom level of a PDF will change the page
displayed in the viewer.

Unsupported Mysql_native_password authentication plugin [3996403]
The mysql_native_password authentication plugin is deprecated as of MySQL 8.0.34, disabled by
default in MySQL 8.4, and removed as of MySQL 9.0.0.
To work around this issue, in the settings for the MySQL Server, open
Users and
privileges
and change Authentication Type
to caching_sha2_password

Opacity display may be inconsistent [3978370]
Graphic object opacity may appear inconsistent if you define the opacity in both the
stylesheet and the graphic object.

HMI device freezes [4158258]
The HMI device may freeze if you change the array size of imported tags in the project. Do
not modify the array dimensions of imported tags in FactoryTalk Optix. The size must match the
tag array dimensions defined in the controller.

Dynamic links become Unresolved when dragging items from a Custom library to Project View
[4100971]
Data bindings are not preserved when they point to types or instances outside of their
parent. Manually update the unresolved data bindings.

FactoryTalk Optix fails to launch inside a VMWare image [4014142]
FactoryTalk Optix fails to launch in VMWare tools 12.5 or when an optional Windows update is
performed that updates the Broadcom Inc. display driver inside the VMWare image to
9.17.8.9.
Rollback to VMWare Tools earlier than 12.5. If you already have an earlier version installed
rollback the driver version, uninstall and install another driver version or Enable 3D Support
with at least 128MB of memory in Video card settings.

FactoryTalk Optix Studio crashes on VMWare [4126609]
FactoryTalk Optix Studio does not work with VMWare Tools 12.5.0.

Transferring the source project to the OPC server breaks communication with OPC clients
[4184669]
Downloading a project to the OPC server when
Transfer source project
is selected displays a warning message about invalid or incomplete configuration and
unestablished communication with OPC clients. Manually restart the FactoryTalk Optix
Application at Runtime to restart communication with the clients. If the same project is
downloaded to the same server and Transfer source project
is not
selected, no warning appears and communication with clients is established. This anomaly first identified in version 1.6.0.
Some special characters not supported in ODBC database names [2165744]
Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters are not supported in ODBC database names.
