Roles in FactoryTalk Vault

This section shows the capabilities of the different roles a user can be assigned when working with FactoryTalk Vault.
NOTE: FactoryTalk Vault has 2GB of storage included by default. An entitlement can be purchased which provides 250GB of storage.
The roles a user can be assigned are:
  • Viewer - User can access data in FactoryTalk Vault but cannot upload, modify, or download anything from FactoryTalk Vault.
  • Consumer - User can download files in addition to ability to access data that Viewer has.
  • Contributor - User can upload, modify, and delete files.
  • Admin - User has full abilities to access, upload, modify, and delete files as well as add and remove other users.
